OPAL-RT is an international company that provides real-time simulation platforms, enabling engineers and researchers to test, validate, and refine complex control systems with confidence. See website

Mandate

Following the development of a new brand identity led by Macadam, TREIZE took over to design OPAL-RT’s full website redesign. The goal was to translate this new visual identity into a digital experience while elevating the user journey and delivering a high-performance platform capable of generating qualified leads to support the sales team.

Objectives

  • Increase the volume of qualified leads generated through the website.
  • Modernize the look and feel, user experience, and feature set.
  • Improve overall UX and navigation clarity.
  • Ensure consistently fast website load times.
  • Build a robust, scalable web architecture to support future growth and technological advancements.
  • Develop a dynamic, clear, and streamlined content strategy that reflects the company’s value proposition.

Launching a product catalogue

A core component of the strategy was the creation of a product catalogue to showcase OPAL-RT’s hardware products. The catalogue was designed to allow users to explore the full hardware offering in one centralized place.

A filtering system was implemented to enable users to browse products by type and subtype. Below the filter bar, we added a direct call-to-action button to contact the sales team—helpful for users who may not know where to start.

In addition, a consistent and optimized product page structure was developed so all product pages follow the same layout, simplifying information discovery and comparison.

A webpage section titled Match your method to the model features three photos labeled Hardware-in-the-loop, Power hardware, and an unseen third option. Each image shows people working with technology and equipment.
A mobile webpage for OPAL-RT Technologies features a blue background with wave patterns, the OPAL-RT logo, a language dropdown, menu icon, and text promoting simulation, testing, and innovation in real time.
With UX simplification as a key objective, a major effort went into restructuring the sitemap and navigation model.
We recommended a two-level navigation with submenus to keep the experience intuitive and lightweight. Labels were also rewritten to be clearer and more meaningful, particularly for new users of the platform.
The “Contact Us” button was given prominence through a distinct button style, ensuring it stands out and remains easy to find for prospective clients.
Finally, on scroll down, the menu hides to prioritize content. When the user scrolls back up, the main navigation reappears—enabling seamless exploration without requiring a manual return to the top of the page.

Implementing CRM-connected forms

One of the project’s key technical requirements was connecting forms to the existing CRM (Microsoft Dynamics). This involved not only sending form data to the correct Microsoft Dynamics tables, but also dynamically displaying form fields sourced from Azure tables.
While the forms were built using Gravity Forms, several custom components and integrations were required to meet the technical constraints and ensure a reliable implementation.
Because these forms already existed on the previous website, close collaboration with OPAL-RT’s internal IT team was essential to fully understand the existing logic and dependencies. It was a valuable learning experience for our team—and we can proudly say it’s a challenge successfully delivered.
